About Jill
Jill was born in Omaha and only lived there a short time before moving to Collegeville, PA. She spent several years of her youth in Pennsylvania before moving to the SF Bay Area during H.S.
Jill graduated from UC Davis with a degree in animal science and computer science. She currently resides in San Diego and is actively involved in research in the field of computational biology. She is completing her PhD to pursue a long-term career in academic research.
In her "free" time, she contemplates adopting yet another pet, spending time outdoors, planning her next travel opportunity, and eating Thomas' food. To relax from her hectic schedule, sharing a meal with good wine and friends is the perfect end to a long week.
About Thomas
Growing up in Mt. Shasta, Thomas was essentially raised in the great out doors. With a seven mile run or bike ride to get to the nearest town, plenty of time was spent tromping around in the woods during his youth.
After graduating from Mt. Shasta H.S., he continued on at the local community college. It was here that he met one of his first mentors - Professor Goehring and decided that his goal was to teach computer programming. It is with this goal in mind that Thomas continued on to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from UC Davis and then a Master's degree in Computer Science from SD State.
Thomas is currently working as a Database Administrator for the Active Network and expects to stay in this field for a few more years before returning to the academic environment. In his free time, he engages in long bike rides and runs. |
